Oskar Pfeffer‘s step son spent his childhood in Diószeg. In 1939, as a Jew, he immigrated to Canada where he graduated college and later became a recognized mathematics Professor at Harvard University. He received the Wolf‘ Prize which is the most prestigious award in mathematics. In 2002 he got to visit Sládkovičovo and said that he will forever fondly remember the years he spent here.
